Skills

C++ / C#

I've used C++ and C# extensively in projects during my spare time and throughout my academic career, allowing me to gain both theoretical and practical experience with these languages. Thanks to this, I can write well-structured, performant code and have been able to refine my debugging and problem-solving skills.

Game Engines

Since I graduated my main focus has been on Unreal Engine, and I've been constantly refining my knowledge and experience with it. Throughout my time in university, I've used Unity for many of my projects, but I've also been able to familiarize myself with more proprietary ones like DayZ's Enfusion Engine. Gaining experience with these different engines has allowed me to learn how to quickly adapt to new tools and workflows.

Game Development

Having a solid educational background in game development, hands-on experience in game creation and modding, as well as extensive exposure to many game genres, has allowed me to acquire a wide range of development skills outside of just programming, including creating game-ready assets, game design, UI, networking and animation. As a result, I can approach programming tasks with a well-rounded perspective, work across disciplines and fulfill tasks in a way that benefits the whole team.

Teamwork

For many of my projects teamwork has played a significant role, be it working directly with others or incorporating and providing feedback. My mods have been especially useful for developing these teamworking skills further, as being active throughout the modding community over the last few years has not only allowed me to learn how to better implement others' feedback into my work and provide assistance to my peers but also gave me the opportunity to work with people from vastly different backgrounds and varying skill sets.
